We had a great Perth Royal Show 2009.........Lowenhyte Penelope aka "Miss P" won Best of Breed with an entry of 27 Dachshunds...she also gained enough points to become an Australian Champion. Also Lowenhyte Hester the Blk/Tan terror won Best Baby in Group 4 (Hounds)

We have also had our first litter of Chinese Crested....2 beautiful h/less girls and 1 Powder Puff girl and 1 Powder Puff boy......

Well 2009 has been a VERY BUSY year for us at Lowenhyte....we had our first litter of Mini Wires for 3 years..3 Litters of Mini Smooths and have now ventured into Chinese Crested in conjunction with Wumao Chinese Crested. Some of the babies from these litters have already hit the show ring with some very pleasing results including Baby In Groups and a Baby In Show for "Clancy" our baby Mini Wire. We have had several nice wins throughout the year with the older kids as well.Ian went off to Brisbane in August for the Dachshund Nationals and we are very pleased to say that the whole team placed or were short listed in their "large" respective classes.

Also Lowenhyte Dino who went to live with Esther and Poe in Singapore early in the year is nearly a Singapore Champion.....a huge effort for all concerned as both dog and Esther are first time showies and are to be congratulated on their efforts.

Lowenhyte Photo Shoot

Thursday 30th October 2008

Lowenhyte Dachshunds were asked to take part in a photo shoot on the Perth Nedlands Foreshore.......the photo shoot was being done by Studio Noah for Pedigree Advance pet foods. A great time was had by all dogs and people who attended with a great breakfast being served and dogs having a wild time chasing each other,owners and various squeaky toys around the river foreshore. Some Lowenhyters were also photographed in the water and other various precarious positions. It is hoped that at some future time these photos will be used in various advertising campaigns by these two companies.
